Oklahoma City Takes Control Late to Drop Westchester at Showcase

SANTA CRUZ, CA. Jan. 19, 2015 - The Oklahoma City Blue used a 30-point fourth quarter to defeat the Westchester Knicks, 101-96, on the final day of the 2015 NBA Development League Showcase presented by Samsung.

Oklahoma City took the lead for good with 5:49 to go in the fourth quarter on a layup from Marquis Teague, who came off the bench to score a team-high 19 points.

The Blue were led by a double-double from big man Talib Zanna, who scored 18 points and added 14 rebounds in the team's sixth-straight win. Reggie Williams, who came in averaging 26.3 points per game over the last 10 days, scored 17 points and had seven rebounds to continue his hot streak.

Westchester's Thanasis Antetokounmpo led the way with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals in the losing effort. Andre Barrett added 17 points and eight assists for the Knicks, who dropped their third straight game.

Oklahoma City held the Knicks to one-of-eight from the floor during the first 5:54 of the opening quarter, but Westchester closed on a 14-5 run to take their first lead of the game with 1.9 seconds left off an Andre Barrett layup. Westchester was up 19-18 at the end of the first quarter

The Blue responded in second quarter, outscoring the Knicks 28-24, led by seven points from Williams and six points from Teague, to take a 46-43 lead into halftime.

The two teams exchanged leads 18 times throughout the game and were also knotted at the same score nine different times. Westchester got out in transition and scored 17 fast break points, but were out-rebounded 50-39 by Oklahoma City.

Both teams will play next on Friday, Jan. 23. Oklahoma City is scheduled to host the Canton Charge at 7 p.m. CT, and Westchester will hit the road to face the Erie BayHawks at 7 p.m. ET.
