Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers open a six-game road series tonight against the Salt Lake Bees at 7:35 p.m. CT at Smith's Ballpark. The Dodgers have won seven of their last nine games and eight of their last 11 games.

Last Game: Ryan Noda hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning to give the Oklahoma City Dodgers the lead and Ryan Pepiot pitched 7.0 strong innings in a 5-4 win against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys Sunday night at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Space Cowboys grabbed the game's first lead with a two-run home run by Enmanuel Valdez in the first inning. The Dodgers responded in the bottom of the inning when Michael Busch hit a RBI double. With Sugar Land leading, 3-1, in the third inning, Jason Martin pulled OKC even with a two-run homer. Pedro León's solo homer in the fifth inning put Sugar Land back in front. After Martin drew a walk in the fifth inning, Noda hit a two-run homer out to center field that landed on the grass berm in front of the batter's eye for a 5-4 OKC advantage. Sugar Land drew threw walks in the ninth inning to load the bases, but Carson Fulmer escaped the jam to secure his ninth save of the season.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Andre Jackson (0-6) gets the start tonight to open the road series...Jackson most recently pitched July 27 in OKC against Sugar Land, holding the Space Cowboys to one run and one hit (solo home run) over 5.0 innings. He allowed three walks and recorded six strikeouts and did not factor into OKC's 6-3 victory...In his three July outings following a stint on the Development List, Jackson allowed five runs and eight hits over 12.0 innings with eight walks and 19 strikeouts, posting a 3.75 ERA for his lowest monthly ERA since April. He held opponents 8-for-45, but four of the eight hits were home runs...This season Jackson is holding opponents to a .169 clip with runners on base and .204 with runners in scoring position...The Dodgers are 5-10 in his starts this season and have won the last two following losses in nine of the previous 10...Jackson was selected by the Dodgers in the 12th round of the 2017 MLB Draft out of the University of Utah and made his Major League debut last season...Tonight is Jackson's second career start against the Salt Lake Bees. He started in Salt Lake Sept. 14, 2021 and allowed three runs and four hits (2 HR) over 4.0 innings with one walk and six strikeouts in a no decision. But that was not his first-ever appearance at Smith's Ballpark, as the Utes use Smith's Ballpark as their home field.

Robbie Erlin (5-2) is scheduled to follow Jackson in a fourth straight piggyback appearance...He threw 3.1 scoreless innings against Sugar Land July 27 in OKC and was the winning pitcher in the team's 6-3 win, recording the final 10 outs. He allowed one hit and one walk and tallied five strikeouts, retiring 10 of 12 batters faced overall...Since throwing 5.0 scoreless and hitless innings June 10 vs. Salt Lake, he has allowed 24 runs and 30 hits over six games, totaling 18.2 innings...The lefty has also made two appearances for the Los Angeles Dodgers this season in early May...Erlin has appeared in 117 games (43 starts) in the Majors, primarily with San Diego, and was selected by Texas in the third round of the 2009 MLB Draft from Scotts Valley High School (Calif.)...In his only previous meeting with Salt Lake this season June 10 in OKC, he pitched 5.0 scoreless and hitless innings with three walks and five strikeouts and did not factor into the decision of OKC's eventual 5-3 defeat in 10 innings.

Against the Bees: 2022: 2-1 2021: 7-5 All-time: 61-56 At SL: 28-29

The Dodgers and Bees are meeting for the second of three series in 2022 and their first at Smith's Ballpark...The teams met at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark for a three-game set June 10-12, with OKC taking the final two games to win the series. Twice in the series, the Dodgers rallied to tie the game or take the lead in the eighth inning or later. Jake Lamb had five hits and Drew Avans collected five RBI...The Dodgers won last season's series, 7-5, including wins in five of the last six meetings. The road team went 9-3 during the season series and the Bees won four of six in Oklahoma City for their first series win against OKC since 2013...In 2021, the Dodgers outscored Salt Lake, 77-62, and outhit the Bees, 119-110...The Dodgers have won or split the last seven season series with the Bees, posting a 6-0-1 record during that time...Since OKC became affiliated with the Dodgers, the team owns a 22-11 advantage against the Bees in the Triple-A version of the Freeway Series, but are 9-7 at home compared to 13-4 in Salt Lake.

Life At The Top: The Dodgers lead the PCL with a 59-40 record and have a 5.0-game lead ahead of El Paso and Round Rock, which are tied for second place in the East Division standings. The 5.0-game lead in the division standings is the largest for OKC since July 1 when they also had a 5.0-game lead and one-game shy of their largest division lead of the season June 30 when OKC had a 6.0-game lead...The Dodgers have tied their high-water mark for the season at 19 games above .500 (previously 46-27; 47-28; 57-38; 58-39), but the team is 0-4 when trying to reach 20 games above .500...OKC went 7-2 during their last homestand and own the league's best home record at 34-20 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark this season. The Dodgers are 25-20 on the road and have the second-fewest road losses this season behind Reno's 18 road losses...After starting July 0-5, the Dodgers rallied to go 12-7 to finish the month with a 12-12 record, although it is the first time this season they did not have a winning month.

Drew Point: Drew Avans collected a single Sunday as he extended his on-base streak to 38 games for the longest on-base streak by a PCL player since El Paso's Brian O'Grady also reached base in 38 straight games June 3-Aug. 28, 2021. The last PCL player with a longer on-base streak was Las Vegas' Beau Taylor, who reached base in 39 straight games April 6-July 3, 2019. Avans' on-base streak is also the longest by an OKC player since Alex Verdugo reached base in 41 consecutive games June 4-July 25, 2017. It is the longest active on-base streak in the Minors and one of 10 on-base streaks of at least 38 games recorded this season. Avans has also reached base in 52 of his last 53 games and hit safely in 21 of the last 25 games. He has also hit safely in 15 of the last 18 games, batting .325 (25x77)...From the start of the season through May 31 (31 games), Avans batted .235 (20x85) with seven extra-base hits, eight RBI and 15 runs scored. Since June 1 (47 games), Avans is batting .317 (58x183) with 12 doubles, four triples, three homers, 20 RBI, 22 walks and 39 runs scored. During that span he ranks third in the PCL with 58 hits, tied for fourth with 15 stolen bases, fifth with 39 runs, seventh in AVG and tied for seventh with a .400 OBP.

J-Mart Special: Jason Martin hit his team-leading 22nd home run of the season Sunday and boosted his season RBI total to 76, surpassing his former single-season career-high mark of 75 RBI set during the 2016 season with High-A Lancaster (Astros). Martin also drew two walks and scored two runs Sunday as he finished the month of July with a team-best nine homers, 25 RBI and 25 runs in 23 games while slashing .310/.396/.655...Martin ranks second in the PCL in RBI and is tied for second in home runs. He also ranks among the league's top-five players in extra-base hits (4th, 44), runs (4th, 73), total bases (5th, 183), OPS (5th, .961) and triples (T-5th, 5)...Over his last 15 games, Martin is batting .321 (17x53) with five homers and 19 RBI. He's picked up at least one RBI in nine of the 15 games and has seven multi-RBI games during the stretch.

Buschwacked: Michael Busch hit a RBI double in the first inning Sunday to extend his hitting streak to five games, going 8-for-20. Over his last nine games, Busch is 14-for-33 (.424) with six extra-base hits, five multi-hit games and six walks and has reached base safely in each game. He led the Dodgers with 30 hits in 24 games during the month of July, including a team-best nine doubles. He also hit four home runs, scored 16 runs and finished the month with 14 RBI...Busch ranks third among Dodgers minor leaguers with 23 total home runs this season including his time with Double-A Tulsa.

Getting Miggy With It: Miguel Vargas added to his PCL-leading totals with a hit and run scored Sunday and also drew a walk. Vargas paces the league with 109 hits and 81 runs scored this season. He also ranks among the league's top-five players in doubles (T-2nd, 24), total bases (3rd, 186), walks (T-3rd, 54), RBI (4th, 72) and extra-base hits (5th, 43)...Vargas has hit safely in seven of his last eight games (9x31) and in 15 of his last 17 games (20x68) with 14 RBI, 12 walks and 15 runs scored during the 17-game stretch...He's also hit safely in 29 of his last 33 games, batting .326 (43x132) with 13 doubles, five homers, 28 RBI and 27 runs scored.

Beast Node: Ryan Noda hit his 16th home run of the season Sunday - second-most among OKC players - to give the Dodgers the lead for good in the fifth inning. The two-run blast traveled an estimated 447 feet to the center field berm. He finished the six-game series against Sugar Land with six hits, including three homers, two doubles and eight RBI, and he went deep four times during the nine-game homestand...His 55 RBI and 56 runs scored both rank third among OKC players and he co-leads the team with 54 walks - tied for third in the league.

Pep Rally: Ryan Pepiot (8-0) followed opener Dellin Betances Sunday and pitched 7.0 innings to tie his season and career-high mark in a second straight game. He allowed two runs and five hits along with two walks and four strikeouts to improve his record to 8-0 and pull him into a tie for the league lead in wins. The Dodgers improved to 15-0 in games he's pitched in this season...Prior to last Tuesday, only one OKC pitcher had completed at least 7.0 innings all season.

Around the Horn: The Dodgers turned a season-high four double plays Sunday behind pitcher Ryan Pepiot. It was the most double plays turned by the OKC defense since also finishing with four Aug. 29, 2019 against Iowa in OKC...The Dodgers have won three straight series openers as well as four of the last five series openers...Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Edwin Ríos continued his Major League Rehab Assignment Sunday and played in his third game with OKC, going 1-for-4 with a double. Through his first three games, Ríos is 1-for-7 with a walk and hit by pitch...The Dodgers have homered in eight of the last nine games (14 HR) but have also surrendered at least one homer in eight of the last nine games (15 HR). Sugar Land hit 11 homers over the previous six-game series, including six with runners on base...OKC led the PCL with a .365 on-base percentage in July...Including Sunday, reliever Carson Fulmer has not allowed a run in 10 of his last 12 appearances (2 R/15.2 IP) and has not allowed an earned run in 15 of his last 16 games (ER/20.1 IP)...The Dodgers have won 15 of their last 16 games when allowing four or fewer runs.
