Oilers, Red Cross Team Up For Blood Drive
Published on February 19, 2004 under Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release
This Friday, February 20th, is slated to be one of the biggest nights of the year for the Tulsa Oilers, as they will join hands with the American Red Cross in a blood drive at the Tulsa Convention Center.
Starting at 5 p.m. and lasting up until face-off, the Red Cross will have stations set up outside the Convention Center box office to take blood donations. So, while the Oilers play Wichita and give blood on the ice, the CHL's toughest fans can donate blood off of the ice.
In addition to helping out Tulsa's chapter of the Red Cross, participants will receive a T-shirt and be entered in a raffle to haul in a little Oilers merchandise.
The Oilers and Red Cross remind all those interested to get to the arena early to take advantage of this opportunity to make a difference.
The Tulsa Oilers return home for a pair of home games this weekend, hosting Wichita on Friday and New Mexico on Saturday.
Individual game tickets can be purchased at the Oilers ticket office, at Carson Attractions, in the Tulsa Convention Center, plus the Drug Mart locations in Tulsa, Owasso, and Broken Arrow.
Phone orders for game tickets can be made by calling 918-584-2000 or 918-632-7825.
