Tulsa Oilers News Release

Pick your favorite phrase about nostalgia..."These are the good old days"..."Happy days are here again"... "Everything old is new again"...and they will all apply when former Tulsa Oilers players gather for an alumni game on Saturday August 23^rd .

Former Oiler players such as Doug Lawrence, Mike Berger, Luc Beausoleil, Don MacIver and several others will play at 7 p.m. at the Oilers Ice Center (64^th and Mingo) on August 23^rd .

Current Oiler general manager Taylor Hall, who played on the Oilers 1993 CHL championship team, and current head coach Dan Hodge, who ended his playing career as an Oiler will also play in the game.

"We know there's a great tradition of Oilers hockey and our fans will really love seeing all of these players come back, and having a great night out with them," Hall said. "We want to be sure everyone who's ever been connected with the Oilers can take pride in what is going on with the team today, and the BOK Center and keep them involved."

Tickets for the alumni evening are $10 for Oiler season ticket holders and $15 dollars for non season ticket holders. The ticket includes admission to the game and a post game party with the players where fans will be able mingle, take pictures and get autographs.

Oiler alumni tickets are available at the team's administrative office located at 9128 East 46^th Street (off 46^th and Memorial between Memorial and Mingo) in the Spirit Bank building.

"Space is kind of tight in the Oilers Ice Center, so fans who want to see the alumni game and visit with these players better not wait too long," Hall said.

The Oilers will play their first home game in the BOK Center, on Saturday October 25^th , against the arch rival Oklahoma City Blazers. Season tickets for the Oilers 2008-09 season in the new BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
