OHL Announces Disciplinary Action

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of two separate incidents which took place in games last weekend.

Game of Friday, January 29th, 2016 - Peterborough at Ottawa

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Ottawa on the 29th of January, 2016, involving the 67's and the visiting Peterborough Petes Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a checking to the head infraction involving player Steven Lorentz of the Peterborough Petes Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Steve Lorentz shall be suspended for ten (10) games, dating from but not including the game of Friday, January 29th, 2016.

Game of Saturday, January 30th, 2016 - London at Windsor

The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which took place in a game played in Windsor on the 30th of January, 2016, involving the Spitfires and the visiting London Knights Hockey Club.

The incident reviewed was a match penalty for attempt to injure assessed to player Chandler Yakimowicz of the London Knights Hockey Club.

Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Chandler Yakimowicz shall be suspended for twelve (12) games, dating from but not including the game of Saturday, January 30th, 2016.
