Ohio trades Larke, activates Bowman and Dries off IR
COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Junior Blue Jackets traded forward Matt Larke (Oxford, Mich.) to Traverse City of the North American Hockey League for future considerations, General Manager Don Harkins announced today.
Harkins announced that defenseman Tyler Bowman and forward Danny Dries have been activated off the injured reserve list. Both could be in the lineup this weekend against the Cedar Rapids Rough Riders.
Four other Junior Blue Jackets completed a two-day showcase at the USA Hockey Junior Jamboree, Monday and Tuesday. Defensemen John Ryder and Adam Comrie skated for Team Black and forwards Danny Hobbs (UMASS-Amherst) and Matt Bourdeau played for Team White. Ryder assisted on one of two Team Black goals in a 2-0 win Monday.
The Junior Blue Jackets hit the road for the next four games, starting with two at Cedar Rapids Friday and Saturday. The team returns to Nationwide Arena Nov. 25-26 to face the Indiana Ice. Game times are scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET) both days.
