Duluth-Superior Dukes News Release

(Duluth, MN) Can you sing? Can you sing, well? Duluth-Superior Dukes Director of Community Relations, Becky Kimber-Carlson, announced the Dukes' 2nd Annual National Anthem tryouts for April 6th from 12-3 pm at Duluth's Miller Hill Mall.

Talented singers and musicians are encouraged to pre-register with the Dukes office by calling 218.727.4525. Contestants are competing for the honor to sing or play the National Anthem before thousands at one of the Dukes' 50 home games. Last year, over 80 people participated in the tryouts.

"Because last year's tryouts were such an astounding success of musical proportions, it was a no-brainer to hold tryouts again for this season," said Kimber-Carlson. "Holding the tryouts at Miller Hill Mall will provide an atmosphere for the contestants where they will be singing in front of an audience, similar to performing at Wade Stadium."

The National Anthem tryouts will be held in the Old Navy courtyard in Miller Hill Mall. Miller Hill Mall is located at Hwy. 53 and Trinity Rd.
