Offseason Update: New Flash Players in Action Overseas

ELMA, N.Y. ( Monday, November 17, 2014 ) - The Westfield W-League Round 10 saw all participating Flash players come away with points, while FC Bayern Munich remained at the top of the table with a big win.

Here's a look at the past week of the offseason:

A Look Back: November 10-16

Sydney FC Dominates Adelaide for Three Points

Sydney FC had no trouble earning three points on Saturday, cruising to a 5-0 win over Adelaide United. The Sky Blues started strong with Jasmyne Spencer finding goal scorer Nicola Bolger for her first of two assists on the day. Following three more, Spencer netted her own goal in the 93rd minute, moving Sydney up to third place in the W-League.

Canberra Fights Back to Take a Point

Canberra United and goalkeeper Chantel Jones rallied for two, one-goal deficits to tie the Newcastle Jets 3-3 on Saturday. Jones, who was acquired by the Flash last week, started in net for Canberra and helped lead the team to one point.

Bayern Munich Easily Downs Herforder

FC Bayern Munich rolled to a 7-0 win over Herforder SV on Friday, however Flash midfielder Amber Brooks did not appear in the shutout win. Bayern currently sits atop the table, tied with VfL Wolfsburg with 26 points.

No Flash players will be in action over the next week.
