LEWISTON, ME -- Jordan Caron's three point night propelled the Rimouski Oceanic to a 4-1 win over the Lewiston MAINEiacs at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee Sunday evening.

After a scoreless first period, the Oceanic sailed to a 2-0 lead in second period. The MAINEiacs took advantage of a Rimouski penalty, as rookie forward Francis Beauvillier scored his third goal of the season to pull his team within one.

Jordan Caron silenced the MAINEiacs momentum at 12:49 of the second period, scoring his second goal of the season, extending the Oceanic's lead to 3-1. Caron added his second assist of the game on Mathieu Losiels third period goal, giving Rimouski the decisive three goal edge.

The MAINEiacs outshot the Oceanic 41-28. The loss was the third of the season for Lewiston at home, as the team celebrated Veteran's Appreciation Day. The game also featured the return of former MAINEiacs head coach Clem Jodoin, now with Rimouski. Jodoin led the MAINEiacs to a league championship during the 2006-2007 season.

The MAINEiacs begin a three game road swing on Wednesday at Victoriaville. Lewiston's next home game is Sunday, November 22 against former Atlantic Division rival Saint John. Tickets may be purchased at the Colisee box office or by calling (207) 783-2009.
