IRVINE, Calif. (March 17, 2015) - After a successful trip up to the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., the Blues returned to Orange County to continue training for the quickly approaching season.

It was an exciting week for the team. As the first USL team to train at Nike, the squad enjoyed practicing and spending the majority of their time on campus. Having the opportunity to train at the Bo Jackson Sports Center was beneficial for the team as they continued to work hard and prepare for the team's first game. Spending the week together also allowed the Blues to get comfortable working with one another and formed a stronger bond both off and on the field.

The trip in Portland included a friendly against amateur side IPS/Marathon Taverna that ended in a 1-0 win for the Blues. With Nike's amazing facilities at their fingertips, the team trained twice a day and toured the campus during their lunch breaks. Besides product testing, the guys took a trip Thursday to the Nike Campus Store to load up on runners and cleats for the season. The trip concluded Friday with training in the morning and fitness testing in the afternoon. The team returned to LAX Friday night tired but ready to buckle down for the 2015 USL season.

The Blues open the 2015 season on Saturday, March 28th vs Arizona United SC. Kickoff is 7:00PM from UC Irvine's Anteater Stadium.

Season and single game tickets for the 2015 OC Blues FC campaign in USL are on sale now. To purchase tickets call 949-333-0418 or for more information email seats@bluessoccerclub.com.
