
Oakland Roots Sign USL League One Standout Charlie Dennis

Oakland, CA - Oakland Roots have signed USL League One All League Second Team Midfielder Charlie Dennis. Dennis spent the last two seasons with FC Tucson after spending the 2019 season with South Georgia Tormenta FC. The Brighton, England native has amassed over 80 appearances in USL League One over three seasons.
"Charlie is someone I was following last year," said Head Coach Juan Guerra. "He has been a very productive player for the last few seasons. Providing and scoring goals for different clubs in League One. His size, technical ability and hunger will give him the opportunity to be as successful for us in the USL Championship."
Dennis tied second in all of USL League One with eight assists while also finishing in the top ten with nine goals, on his way to All League honors. This included a hat trick on September 19th vs Greenville Triumph. Dennis also finished top three in USL League One in assists in 2020. Dennis is a product of the Southampton academy in England.
