Oakland Roots News Release
Oakland, CA - Today, Oakland Roots, Oakland Soul, and Project 51O announced that the sportswear brand Charly will become the new Official Soccer Apparel Partner of the Club. Charly is a Mexican sports equipment manufacturing company headquartered in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. It was founded in 1949 and is one of the largest sportswear companies in Mexico.
"We are excited to partner with a brand like Charly, which not only has deep roots in the game but also brings a new and fresh energy to sportswear," said Oakland Roots and Soul SC Chief Marketing Officer, Edreece Arghandiwal. "Heritage is important, and knowing where you come from is crucial because it helps pave new paths. We plan to continue being different, and Charly gives us the ability to do that on all fronts."
As Oakland Roots and Soul SC embark on this exciting new chapter with Charly, the stage is set for a fusion of tradition and modernity, creating a narrative that extends far beyond the soccer pitch. The synergy between the clubs and Charly promises not only a new era in sportswear but also a celebration of the rich histories and promising futures that define both Oakland and Mexican sports culture.
