Oakland Ends Cavalry's Win Streak

April 22, 2006 - International Basketball League (IBL)
Aurora Cavalry News Release

The Oakland Slammers ended the Cavalry's five game winning streak with a 118-115 win. The Cavalry fell to 5-1 and 2nd place in the Western Conference. Oakland improved to 4-2.

Oakland erased a double digit deficit and took their first lead of the game with 2:30 left in the fourth quarter. The Cavalry had an opportunity to tie the game but Karim's desperation three-pointer at the buzzer fell short. The Slammers were led by the monstrous play of Solomon Wilkins with 29 points and Will Levy's 25 points. John Gaines led the Cavalry with 22 points followed by Lamar Karim's 18.

Oakland and Aurora square off again on Sunday April 23rd at 3pm at Gateway High School.
