NWSL Announces 2014 College Draft Order

SEATTLE - Jan. 9, 2014 - The NWSL has released the official order for the 2014 College Draft set to take place Friday, Jan. 17 at 7 a.m. (PT) at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention in Philadelphia.

The annual college draft will consist of four rounds and 36 total selections with the order being determined by reverse finish in the 2013 NWSL season. As the lone expansion team, the Houston Dash has been given the second overall pick as well as the first pick in rounds two through four (10, 19, 28).

After a series of trades in the offseason, Seattle Reign FC will make three selections in next Friday's draft.

Reign FC Draft Picks:

Round 1 - Pick 7 (via PTFC)

Round 2 - Pick 8, 17 Overall (via FCKC)

Round 4 - Pick 3, 30 Overall

Each team will have five minutes to make their pick in the first round and three minutes to draft in each of the next three rounds. All teams will also be given one, five-minute timeout that can be used for further discussion, rule clarification, and/or trade discussion with another club.
