
NSC Minnesota Stars End Homestand with Tie Against Puerto Rico

The NSC Minnesota Stars ended a four-game homestand with a 1-1 tie Wednesday night against the Puerto Rico Islanders. Melvin Tarley scored his second goal of the season in the 24th minute, but the Stars were unable to find the net again as Cody Laurendi made six saves in goal for the Islanders. Christopher Nurse tied the game in the 71stminute with a header from Sandy Gbandi's corner kick. Minnesota is now 7-9-4 this season. The Stars have three straight road games before returning to Blaine on August 21.
