North Texas SC News Release
Frisco, Texas - North Texas Soccer Club has signed FC Dallas Academy player David Rodriguez to a three-year contract, pending league and U.S. Soccer Federation approval.
Rodriguez, 16, joined the FC Dallas Academy in 2017 and scored 10 goals in 13 games for the U-16 team last season. He was named to the 2018 Dallas Cup All-Star team by adidas for his performances in the U-16 bracket. Rodriguez has been called up to two U.S. Men's National Team camps at the U-17 level.
Rodriguez's older brother, Arturo, signed with North Texas SC on January 31, 2019.
"David changes games, he's able to settle the team and keep possession so we can build into the final third," said North Texas SC head coach Eric Quill. "He thinks vertically when he gets the ball, looking in behind with his passing and dribbling. He'll make a big impact for the team."
Rodriguez is the 32nd Academy product signed to a professional contract by the FC Dallas organization.
