NLL Playoffs Update

The Rochester Knighthawks (10-2) became the second team to punch their ticket for the 2007 Champion's Cup Playoffs when they defeated the New York Titans on Saturday. This weekend, the Buffalo Bandits and Arizona Sting both have a chance to clinch a playoff berth. Colorado, who was the first team to clinch, can lock up the Western Division title with two wins.

EASTERN DIVISION

BUFFALO: Clinches a playoff berth with a win over Chicago on Saturday, OR a Rochester win over Philadelphia AND a Colorado win over Minnesota.

ROCHESTER: Has clinched a playoff berth. Cannot clinch division title this weekend.

WESTERN DIVISION

COLORADO: Has clinched a playoff berth. Clinches the Western Division title with two wins this weekend. Colorado also clinches the Western Division title with a win over Arizona on Friday, AND an Arizona win over San Jose on Saturday, AND at least one Portland win over Calgary this weekend.

ARIZONA: Clinches a playoff berth with two wins this weekend, AND any of the following:

A) Two Calgary losses to Portland this weekend

B) Two Edmonton losses this weekend (at NY, at CHI)

C) One Calgary loss AND one Edmonton loss

LEAGUE TO PLAY 1,000TH REGULAR SEASON GAME OF PRO INDOOR LACROSSE THIS WEEKEND

Playing its 21st season of professional indoor lacrosse, the National Lacrosse League will reach a historic milestone on Saturday night when the Colorado Mammoth and Minnesota Swarm face-off at Xcel Energy Center at 8PM ET. The game will be the 1,000th regular season game in professional indoor lacrosse history. Since the inception of professional indoor lacrosse in 1987, there have been 993 regular season games played, heading into Week #14 of the 2007 season. The Mammoth vs. Swarm game will be the seventh game this weekend and the historic 1,000th regular season game in pro indoor lacrosse history.
