
Nighthawks solve Matrix in second round playoff

Rockville, MD. Seven Maryland Nighthawks scored in double-digits in this weekend's ABA playoff victory over the visiting Montreal Matrix, 145-114 before another standing room only crowd. The team moves on to the Great eight finals to be contested in Rochester, NY beginning on Wednesday and will face the Southern California Legends.
Frank "The Sniper" McQueen, known for electrifying the Montgomery College - Rockville Campus crowds, dazzled fans by connecting on 7 of 11 three-point attemps, and led the Nighthawks with 27 points. Ray "Hops" Cunningham and Lee Cook also had big games. Cunningham having another double/double performance and Cook finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.
