Nighthawks Ready for Panthers
April 11, 2012 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL)
Knoxville NightHawks News Release
Knoxville, TN- The Knoxville Nighthawks (0-3) will be welcoming the Albany Panthers (3-0) to the Civic Coliseum on Saturday, April 14th at 7:00 pm.
The Nighthawks have had a rough start to the season but after a league-wide bye week last week they are healthy and well-rested. The team is ready to show the home crowd how they have not given up fighting to get to that championship game later this summer.
"We have our work cut out for us this Saturday night. We have the best team in the league coming into Knoxville. They are experienced, very talented, and well coached. We have to play our 'A' game to have a chance to win this football game. It should be a lot of fun!" said Head Coach Chris MacKeown.
This week will be the first time that the Nighthawks will have the opportunity to practice on their own turf during the week, which will help them become more accustomed to the field size and hitting with the sideline boards up.
Practice will be open to the public to watch at the Civic Coliseum from 6-8pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
