JACKSONVILLE, FL - Thursday, February 17 - Omaha Nighthawks head coach JOE MOGLIA has added BRANDON NOBLE to his staff as the team's defensive line coach.

Noble has been a collegiate coach since 2006. He was a part-time assistant coach at West Chester University from 2006 to 2008 then returned to the university in 2010 as defensive line coach.

"I'm looking upon this as a huge opportunity to work with a group of incredibly seasoned coaches on the staff and to be a part of an exciting football league and a team that was clearly very popular in Omaha last season," said Noble. "It is similar to NFL Europe, which saved my playing career in that it offers guys a second chance to prove themselves. I'm looking forward to teaching football to a group of guys looking to win and make the most of their careers."

As a defensive tackle, Noble played in 80 National Football League games for the Dallas Cowboys (1999-2002) and Washington Redskins (2004), and was a full-time starter for the Cowboys in both 2001 and 2002. He recorded 8 1/2 career sacks, and had his best season in 2001, making 37 total tackles to go with 3 1/2 sacks and two passes defensed. Noble also received the Ed Block Courage Award while with the Redskins.

Noble played two seasons with the Barcelona Dragons of the NFL Europe League in 1998 and 1999, earning All-NFLEL honors and playing in the 1999 World Bowl.

"Brandon is a great motivator and communicator with excellent knowledge of the defensive line," said Moglia of his latest hire, who joins Offensive Coordinator Bart Andrus, Defensive Coordinator Pete Kuharchek, Special Teams Coordinator Kirk Doll and Offensive Line Coach Don Lawrence on the staff.

A 1998 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Criminal Justice, Noble was a three-year starter for the Nittany Lions, and was the defensive Most Valuable Player of the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. He was a team captain, and played on the 1994 undefeated Rose Bowl team.
