Nighthawks Invite Fans to Free Football

OMAHA, Neb., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 The Nighthawks are holding a pre-season scrimmage on Tuesday, September 6 at TD Ameritrade Park. The scrimmage will kickoff at 7 p.m. and is open to the public at no cost!
"We've been working hard to produce a team that Omaha will be proud of," said Head Coach Joe Moglia. "We're excited to put on a show for our fans. Our offense is going to attack our defense with everything they have and our defense is going to stop them under game-like conditions! We are going to find out a lot about our football team Tuesday night."
The scrimmage will be the first time that football has been played at TD Ameritrade Park. All lots will be open at 5 p.m. for parking at the standard $8 fee with gates opening at 6 p.m. Concessions and merchandise will be available for purchase.
The team is inviting corporations and groups to attend. Groups of 20 or more can be recognized on the scoreboard by calling the Nighthawks at 402-403-3776. Ticket booths will also be open to fans wanting to purchase tickets for regular season Nighthawk home games.
"Our fans and the entire community of Omaha have embraced us as their own," said Rick Mueller, General Manager. "Hosting this scrimmage free of charge is just one way that we can give back."
A limited number of tickets are still available for the home opener against the Virginia Destroyers on September 15 at 7 p.m. Fans now have a fourth way to get tickets; all local Kwik Shops carry single-game tickets and team merchandise.
