Maryland NightHawks News Release

Rockville, MD. "I am pleased to officially announce that the ABA's Maryland Nighthawks team has hired Keith Williams as head coach for the 2005-2006 campaign," said Tom Doyle, owner of the Maryland Nighthawks. "Williams has been working in professional basketball for some of the NBA's brightest stars for years and now has the chance to coach in the professional ranks."

"I am excited about the opportunity to coach in the ABA and for a team that made a great run in the playoffs last year. It is a terrific opportunity for me and I look forward to taking this team to the ABA championship," added Williams.

A 1990 graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and a Black College All-American, Williams has excelled as a teacher and motivator at every level. His prestigious clientele includes Steve Francis, Chris Wilcox and Jarrett Jack.

"Keith brings a level of professionalism to the team that will help us get to the next level," said Doyle. "He has been working with NBA caliber players and knows how to get these guys ready to play at that level."
