May 3, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maryland NightHawks News Release
Upper Marlboro, MD. Rick Matsko, GM of the ABA Maryland Nighthawks is pleased to announce the team's first tryout camp on Sunday, June 19th. The Nighthawks, fresh off their playoff run that ended in the Final Four, are looking for talented players that can fill key spots for this veteran team. According to Matsko, "Since the middle of the season, we have been overwhelmed with inquiries about how to tryout for our team from players all over the country. We saw how close we were to the ABA Championship last year and are eager to start preparing for next season. While we're looking for the best available players in the country, we know that many of them are right here in this region."
The tryout camp will be held at the Maryland Soccer Plex, 18031 Central Park Circle, Boyds, Maryland 20841. The tryout will begin promptly at 10:00AM on Sunday, June 19th with walk-up registration starting at 9:00AM. The cost is $100.00 for a pre-registered player. As space in the camp will be limited, pre-registration is preferred and recommended to guarantee your spot. The cost for walk-up registration is $125.00 the day of the event. All money orders or cashier checks should be made payable to: Maryland Nighthawks and sent to 101 North Adams Street, Rockville, MD 20850.
