Upper Marlboro, MD. Andrew Haines, owner of the ABA Maryland Nighthawks professional basketball team today announced the signing of former Villanova University standout Jermaine Medley and Virginia Union star Curtis Yarbrough for their inaugural season. According to Haines, "We are excited to add two local players that have the athletic ability and versatility of Jermaine and Curtis. Both players were noticed at an open tryout in Bowie, Maryland and we brought them back for a second look. After seeing them play again, it was an easy decision on our part."

Yarbrough is a 6'8" 230 pound forward who averaged 1.24 points, 7 rebounds last season as a pro player. Medley, 6'2" 180 pound guard averaged 10.3 points, 3 rebounds with Villanova his last season and has played pro ball for the last four years. The Nighthawks will be holding an open tryout camp in Raleigh on September 11th and plan a final camp in Maryland in late September or early October.
