Wichita Falls Nighthawks News Release
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks would like to announce that Defensive Lineman Rickey Simpson has become the 6th Nighthawk player this season to be elevated to a higher league. Simpson signed with the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League this week and will be in uniform this weekend against the Las Vegas Outlaws where he will face former teammate and fellow Nighthawk Raymond Little.
In 10 games with the Nighthawks this season Simpson had 23 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for losses, 2.5 sacks, and a pass break-up.
Head Coach James Kerwin stated, "We as an organization are very happy for Rickey as he as joined Josh Francis ( NFL- Green Bay), Jestin Love ( CFL- Edmonton), Raymond Little (AFL- Las Vegas), Roosevelt Falls (AFL- New Orleans), and Johnathan Haggerty (AFL- Jacksonville) as Nighthawk players who have worked hard to earn their opportunities to advance."
