December 23, 2015 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Wichita Falls Nighthawks News Release
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks are proud to announce that Ernie Cooke has been named the Defensive Coordinator for the 2016 season. Coach Cooke has spent several seasons with the organization, including last year's expansion season in the Indoor Football League.
Nighthawks head coach Billy Back said, "Ernie Cooke has been a guy I wanted on the staff from the moment I met him. His passion, commitment and knowledge of football was crystal clear after about five minutes into our conversation. We talked X's and O's, Offense and Defense and he flat out knows the game."
Jasonus Tillery has also been promoted to Co-Offensive and Defensive Coordinator, which will allow him to be more involved on both sides of the ball. Ivory Howard has been Hired as Defensive Line coach. Coach Back said, "Promoting Jasonus to Co-Defensive and Offensive Coordinator is a huge help to both Ernie and myself, his years of playing this game and his knowledge of what teams will do both offensively and defensively will be gigantic during prep and in game situations. Like JT's playing career, he has been nothing short of awesome so far in the short time he's been with us. The input he's put forward and his prep at this point has been exceedingly good."
The Wichita Falls Nighthawks is a professional football team playing in the Indoor Football League [IFL]. The IFL formed in 2008 and consists of 11 teams from across the nation.
