NIFL Phantoms Owner May Hit the Gridiron
March 29, 2006 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Palm Beach Phantoms News Release
The linebacker in Mike Lind, owner of the NIFL's Palm Beach Phantoms, is itching to get out. He's taken his three mile runs, and done crunches until his abs felt the burn. Lind has said that he may take to the field again if he can get back into game-ready shape.
Lind's interest in leaving behind some of his front office duties to take to the field speaks volumes about his dedication to the Phantoms. The fledgling team has suffered two heartwrenching losses on the road, and Lind's interest in suiting up for the Phantoms definitely shows that his heart is on the field, even though he's a front-office man.
More three mile runs, crunches, and conditioning are in store for Lind. At the April 8 inaugural home game against Osceola Football at the Delray Sports and Tennis Center, Lind may be in the owner's suite...or on the gridiron.
