Nieves Joins Ice Roster

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that forward Cristoval "Boo" Nieves (KNEE-eh-viss) will be joining the Ice roster this weekend.

Nieves was a former Indiana Ice Futures Draft selection who has spent this season with Kent School in Connecticut where he posted 39 points (7G, 32A) in 26 games while leading the Lions to the Division 1 New England Prep semifinals.

The native of Baldwinsville, NY has already secured a college commitment to the University of Michigan following his USHL career and was ranked on the NHL's Central Scouting midseason report. The 6-2, 185-pound forward was ranked 31st among North American skaters and joins new teammates Robbie Baillargeon (43rd overall- Skaters) and Jon Gillies (4th- Goaltenders) on the list.

The Ice returns to the Pepsi Coliseum this weekend after a seven-game road stint with games Friday against the Youngstown Phantoms and Saturday versus the Green Bay Gamblers. Agel will be on hand Friday night for Agel Cares night and will name the Agel Player of the Year. The winner will receive a $2,000 scholarship.

Individual game tickets for this weekend's home games start as low as $10 and there is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over.
