
Nick Boyer Reaches 50 Caps

On Saturday, April 9th Nick Boyer became the sixth player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches.
Boyer first began playing rugby with Jesuit High School in Sacramento winning a High School National Championship in 2011.
While attending Cal he won the Varsity Cup in XVs and Collegiate Rugby Championship in 7s as was selected as a Junior All American and Collegiate All American.
He was called up to the Eagles November tour and became Eagle #530 debuting against Romania in 2018.
Boyer debuted in the first Major League Rugby season with San Diego Legion. He again represented the Legion in 2019 before playing for the Colorado Raptors in 2020. After 2021, he re-signed with the SaberCats for a second season and has scored 14 career tries to date.
Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps, and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The first five players to reach 50 caps for MLR were Angus McLellan of the Utah Warriors, Tim Metcher of the Seattle Seawolves, Sam Windsor and Dylan Fawsitt of Rugby New York and Holden Yungert of the New England Free Jacks.
