
NHL Center Ice To Broadcast U.S. National Under-17 Team Gold-Medal Game Tonight

REGINA, Saskatchewan - The 2006 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge gold-medal match-up between the U.S. National Under-17 Team and Team Quebec will be aired at 9:30 p.m. EST on NHL Center Ice.
Team USA has compiled a 3-2-1 tournament record against regional teams from Canada and international opponents. Yesterday (Jan. 3), the United States knocked off Team Pacific in the semifinal round, 8-4. The U.S. National Under-17 Team defeated tonight's gold-medal opponent, Team Quebec, 5-1, just two days ago (Jan. 2).
NOTES: The World Under-17 Challenge is an annual tournament hosted by Hockey Canada and includes five regional teams from Canada (Ontario, Pacific, Quebec, Western, Atlantic) and 5 international teams ... This year's international field includes Slovakia, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany and the United States) ... The U.S. National Under-17 Team has won two Under-17 Challenge tournaments (2001, 2002).
