Kansas City Comets News Release

KANSAS CITY, MO -- Some of the faces may have changed, but the harmony definitely hasn't gotten any better, as the Kansas City Comets present the second CD by their break-out group, *NGOAL.

The group, which consists of current Comets players Nate Houser, Wes Wade, Jake Dancy, Alex Zotinca and Nick Corneli, recorded "A Kickin' Comets Christmas" last week. This album is the follow-up to their smash debut CD from last spring, "Feel Da Pain". All songs are holiday-oriented, including "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "Frosty The Snowman", among others.

In addition, the Comets have joined forces with More TV29 to promote the sales of the CD, which are available starting today, with all profits going to The Dream Factory, a locally-based non-profit organization that benefits terminally ill children in the Kansas City area.

The CDs will be available throughout the rest of December at the TV 29 studios downtown, as well as at the Comets offices, and at all Comets December home games. All proceeds raised through December 31, 2002, will be donated directly to The Dream Factory.

After another bye weekend, the Kansas City Comets will return to action Saturday night as they host the defending champion Philadelphia Kixx at 8:05 PM, for their first visit since knocking the Comets out of the playoffs last season. The theme of the evening is Date Night, with all women receiving a rose at the door, and other matchmaking games and events planned for throughout the evening.

The Comets continue their December homestand on Dec. 21, as they host the Dallas Sidekicks for the second annual Christmas Carnival. Game time is 8:05 PM, but gates will open at 6:30 PM, for the fun and carnival-type games available on the concourse of the arena for the evening.

Kansas City will then take to the road again for two games, only to return just in time to ring in the New Year, as they host the Harrisburg Heat on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Game time for this special night will be 6:05 PM, with an early New Year's party on the field after the game is completed.

Single-game and group tickets are still available for these and all Kansas City Comets home games. Single-game tickets range in price from $5.00 to $50.00, and are available by calling the Comets offices, at the Kemper Arena Box Office, or by calling Ticketmaster at 816-931-3330.
