FOR THE AGES: The average age for current NBA Development League players, including seven players designated from NBA teams, is 24.6. The youngest team is the Florida Flame, with an average age of 23.4. The oldest is the Fayetteville Patriots at 25.5.

D-LEAGUE QUIZ: Can you name both the youngest and the oldest players currently in the D-League?

AKA: In Fort Worth there's "Majic", "K-Freeze" and "Kilo" (Daryl Dorsey, Keith Langford and Anthony Terrell). In Fayetteville there's "E-Diddy" (Erik Daniels) and you have a little "Sweetness" (Jamar Smith) in Austin, but in the opinion of the Daily Developments astute nickname judging panel, the top prize goes to the Arkansas RimRockers with "Best Kept Secret" (Kareem Reid) and "King Mooch" (Harvey Thomas).

FIFTH TO FIRST: Tonight's game at Expo Square Pavilion in Tulsa is the fifth meeting between Tulsa and Albuquerque this season. The Thunderbirds hold a 3-1 series advantage. Tonight's game between Roanoke and Arkansas at Alltel Arena in Little Rock is the first meeting ever between the Dazzle and RimRockers. Arkansas is playing in its first NBA D-League season.

ON ICE: The D-League game scheduled for Thursday between the Florida Flame and Fort Worth Flyers was postponed due to icy conditions in Fort Worth. The game will be rescheduled for later in the season.

TODAY ON NBA TV: Austin Toros forward and former first round NBA Draft selection Marcus Fizer is scheduled to be a guest on "NBA TV Insiders" at 7 p.m. ET.

COUNTDOWN TO SHOWCASE: The countdown to the annual MLK Showcase has begun. In just 37 days every team in the D-League will gather at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C. for eight games in two days (Jan. 15-16).

PUT ME IN COACH: Every player in a Fayetteville Patriots and Roanoke Dazzle uniform is currently averaging at least double-digit minutes played.

QUIZ ANSWER: Ersan Ilyasova, assigned to the Tulsa 66ers from the Milwaukee Bucks, is the youngest player in the league at 18. Arkansas point guard Kareem Reid is the oldest at 30.
