Newport Defeats Sanford 14-2 in Game One

The Newport Gulls took a 1-0 lead in the NECBL Eastern Division Semi-Finals with a 14-2 win over the Sanford Mainers at Cardines Field on Friday night. The Gulls will be on the road for Game Two looking to eliminate the Mainers at Goodall Park on Saturday, Aug. 4 in Sanford, Maine. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
Follow all of the action LIVE on the NECBL Broadcast Network. Gulls veteran play-by-play broadcaster Nick Lima and Sanford play-by-play man Jacob Oulette will have the call starting with the pre-game show at 6:20 p.m.
Game 3 (if needed) will be played at home on Sunday, Aug. 5. The NECBL plays a 3-round format with the Eastern Division Championship Series beginning Monday, Aug. 6 for the winner of the semi-finals.
