New York's Garcia closes in on pro football milestone

NEW YORK – New York Dragons QB AARON GARCIA (6-1, 195, Sacramento State) needs six touchdowns to become the first player in professional football to record 700 career passing touchdowns. Garcia, who currently holds the AFL record for most touchdown passes in a season (104 in 2001), will look to make history when the Dragons (6-5) host the Philadelphia Soul (5-7) this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC.

Through 11 games this season, Garcia has completed 234-of-350 passes for 2,839 yards and 59 touchdowns. Garcia has thrown for six-or-more touchdowns six times this season including his last game against the Soul when he completed 21-of-29 passes for 251 yards and six touchdowns.
