New York Titans Beat Toronto Rock 13-10 at The Garden Saturday

The New York Titans brought down the house in their 13-10 win against the Toronto Rock on Saturday, March 3rd at the Garden in front of a raucous crowd. The Titans record now improves to 2-8.

Titans Captain Casey Powell was the game's leader in points with six off of three goals and three assists. Rookie Brendan Mundorf scored three goals and notched two assists and Titans' assistant captain Ryan Boyle recorded five assists in the win. Titans' goalie Matt Vinc played all 60 minutes and recorded 37 saves.

For the Rock, Josh Sanderson recorded two goals and two assists.

Both Powell and Boyle are heading to the NLL's All-Star game next weekend to represent the East. Powell currently sits atop the NLL as the leader in assists with 46. If he were to continue his current pace, Powell would finish with 76 assists for the season which would break the league record of 71 set by Josh Sanderson of Toronto in 2005. The 2007 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game will be played at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon on Saturday, March 10 at 10PM EST.
