New York Red Bulls Midfielder Tim Cahill Voted MLS Player of the Week

NEW YORK (Monday, April 29, 2013) - New York Red Bulls midfielder Tim Cahill was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for week 9 of the 2013 MLS season.
Tim Cahill scored twice to give the New York Red Bulls a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC at BMO Field. The New York Red Bulls have won back to back games and are now tied for second in the Eastern Conference standings.
Cahill scored his first goal of the season in the 38th minute when he left footed Roy Miller's cross into the bottom left corner.
Cahill scored the game-winner in the 90th minute, when he powered a leaping header from a Thierry Henry cross into the bottom right corner.
The New York Red Bulls are back in action this Saturday against the Columbus Crew at Crew Stadium (4:00 p.m. ET).
