
New WNY Flash Face to Join the USWNT

Rochester, NY (March 21, 2013) - Head Coach, Tom Sermanni has named the 23 player USWNT Roster for the team's upcoming matches in Germany and the Netherlands. The USWNT will compete in friendly matches against two teams who are in preparation for the European Women's Championship.
Among the 23 player roster, forward Abby Wambach and goalkeeper Adrianna Franch will be competing in the friendlies.
Wambach, a veteran of the USWNT is four goals short of tying Mia Hamm's current record for the World's All-Time Scoring list with 158 goals. The Rochester native's last goal was on March 6, 2013 in Albufeira, Portugal making it goal #154.
Adrianna Franch, Western New York Flash goalkeeper, 6th pick overall in the 2013 college draft is looking to earn her first cap with the USWNT. The standout goalkeeper from Oklahoma State was one of two collegiate players who were called into the full USWNT camp in May 2012.
The USWNT will face Germany for the second time in 23 days when the top two teams in the current FIFA Women's World Rankings play on Friday, April 5, at Sparda Bank Hessen Stadium in Offenbach, home of Kickers Offenbach in the German Third Division. Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. local time (12:15 p.m. ET).
The USA will then travel to the Netherlands to face the Dutch in The Hague at Kyocera Stadium, home of ADO Den Haag of the Dutch Eredivisie, on Tuesday, April 9.
