Port Huron Icehawks News Release

PORT HURON, MI - The Pro Shop at McMorran Arena, one of several new renovations to the sports and entertainment complex, is now open for business. Located in the southwest corner of the arena, the Pro Shop is accessible through the south entrance on McMorran Boulevard.

The Pro Shop offers a full line of hockey equipment and services, including laces, tape, mouth guards, skate sharpening and more. Port Huron Icehawks merchandise is also available for sale. Additional merchandise will be coming soon in order to better serve customers.

The Pro Shop is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Hours will be extended for tournaments and all Icehawks games. Jim Greaux, formerly of Play It Again Sports, will manage the shop.

Game-worn, autographed Icehawks jerseys are currently on sale for just $50, a savings of more than 50% from last year's prices. Skate sharpening cards, good for ten sharpenings, are available for $35, which is a 30% discount off the regular $5 per sharpening rate. For more information, call the Pro Shop at 810-982-HAWK (4295).

"It's very exciting to be involved with the new pro shop here at McMorran," Greaux said. "Having our own space in the arena gives us the opportunity to offer a lot more of the apparel, equipment and services fans and hockey players have been asking for."

The Icehawks return to action on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. when the team travels to Muskegon to play the Lumberjacks. The Icehawks return home for games Friday and Saturday when they take on the Quad City Mallards and the Dayton Gems at McMorran. Both home games start at 7:30 p.m. Single game tickets for all Icehawks home games are on sale now at the McMorran Arena Box Office, any Ticket Master location or by phone.
