
New Minnesota Team Selects Ten Players
October 19, 2004 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) News Release
The Minnesota NLL Team has completed the 2004 Expansion Draft, selecting ten players from the other NLL teams. Minnesota was able to select one player from the unprotected lists of each of the other ten member clubs. The selections were made earlier today by Minnesota General Manager Marty O'Neill via telelphone conference call. The selections were as follows:
1)Anaheim Storm, Defenseman Cam Bergman
2)Arizona Sting, Forward Sean Pollock
3)Buffalo Bandits, Forward Jason Clark
4)Calgary Roughnecks, Goaltender Matt King
5)Colorado Mammoth, Forward Curtis Smith
6)Philadelphia Wings, Defenseman Shawn Nadelen
7)Rochester Knighthawks, Forward John Harasym
8)San Jose Stealth, Forward Dan Teat
9)Toronto Rock, Forward Rusty Kruger
10)Vancouver Ravens, Defenseman Bruce Alexander
*Please note that Minnesota opted to make their selections in alphabetical order of the teams the players were chosen.
Yesterday, the team named Mike Simpson as its first head coach. The Minnesota team will unveil its name and logo on Monday, October 25th.
