Starting pitcher for the Stockade, Cody Strayer, pitched three innings, giving up seven hits, six runs, five walks and two strikeouts.
The Jackals scored their first runs of the game in the bottom of the second inning, all with two outs. The inning led off with a single by Carlos Triunfel followed by a walk by Nolan Meadows. After back-to-back pop ups by Rony Cabrera and Kevin Torres, John Ruettiger earned a single, loading the bases. Jordan Hinshaw hit a two-out double scoring Triunfel and Meadows. The scoring for the Jackals continued in the bottom of the fourth inning. Ruettiger hit a single to lead off the inning followed by a Hinshaw walk. With the Jackals threat continuing, Salina pulled Strayer and put in their reliever Austin Solecitto. After Green popped out to right field, Hinshaw was picked off at first base by the right fielder. Harris hit an RBI single scoring Ruettiger from second base, giving the Jackals a 6-0 lead.
Black was taken out of the game after throwing seven shutout innings, giving up three hits, three walks and earning nine strikeouts.

The Stockade would not go down without a fight, though. William Salas hit a single, stole second base and made it to third base after Tino Mention earned himself a single. With one out and runners on the corners, Eddie Grimaldo hit a one-out single that scored both Salas and Mention.
