Quebec 8, Hollywood 4

Quebec finished off the three-game sweep of Hollywood as they doubled up the Stars by an 8-4 score. The Capitales scored all their runs early in the contest as they tallied six runs in the second inning and two more in the third.

Three Quebec batters had multi-hit games, including DH Maxx Tissenbaum who went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Capitales 3B Brad Antchak had a pair of hits in three at-bats with two runs scored while RF Nick Van Stratten plated a run and drove in one in a 2-for-3 night. In total, Quebec had 10 hits in the game.

Capitales starting pitcher Arik Sikula tossed eight innings and notched his fifth win of the season. Sikula allowed four earned runs on five hits and struck out 11 batters.

Trois-Rivieres 6, Ottawa 3

Trois-Rivieres scored four runs in the fourth inning to rally from an early deficit and beat Ottawa by a 6-3 final. The Aigles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third inning on a solo home run by leadoff hitter Alexi Colon. The Champions came right back in the top of the fourth to take a 2-1 advantage on a 3B Jordan Caillouet single and a double play by C Zak Colby. The lead was short lived though as Trois-Rivieres plated the four in the bottom frame on three run producing singles by C Anthony Hermelyn, SS Sam Dexter and Colon. Each team would add another run later in the contest to round out the scoring.

Colon went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs while Hermelyn scored a run and drove in two in a 1-for-3 night. First baseman Kevin Cornelius also chipped in a 1-for-3 game with a home run and two runs scored.

Trois-Rivieres starting pitcher Chris Murphy threw seven solid innings en route to his fifth win of the year. Murphy gave up one earned run on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts.

For Ottawa in the losing effort, SS Daniel Bick went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Sussex County 4, Rockland 1

Sussex County completed the three-game sweep of Rockland as they downed the Boulders by the score of 4-1. The Miners took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning as DH Nick Zaharion singled home 3B Martin Figueroa and RF Rubi Silva. Sussex County would then add a run in the sixth on a Silva single and another one in the eighth on an error by Rockland 2B Aaron Wilson. The Boulders tallied their lone run in the ninth on a sacrifice fly by CF Mike Montville.

Silva had a perfect 4-for-4 night at the plate with a run scored and an RBI while Zaharion drove in a pair of runs and went 1-for-4.

Miners starter Cory Jones threw six shutout innings in picking up the victory. Jones gave up three hits and three walks to go along with seven strikeouts in a 104-pitch performance. The righty is now 5-1 on the season.

New Jersey 6, Salina 2

New Jersey ran out to an early lead and would never back as they beat Salina by the score of 6-2. The Jackals tallied four runs in the second inning, one in the third and one more in the fourth to jump out to a quick 6-0 advantage.

Three New Jersey batters had multi-hit games, including leadoff hitter John Ruettiger who went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Jackals CF David Harris had a double and three RBI in a 2-for-3 night while 3B Rony Cabrera had a pair of hits in four at-bats and a run batted in.

New Jersey starting pitcher Vic Black notched his first win of the season. Black allowed three hits and three walks to go with nine strikeouts in seven innings of work.

For Salina, SS William Salas went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
