FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The 2008 New England Revolution jersey will go on sale on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008, exclusively at the team's website, revolutionsoccer.net, and the Gillette Stadium ProShop.

The 2008 home kit, redesigned by adidas during the offseason, includes a collar for the first time since the 2000 season. The uniform still maintains the team's traditional red, white and blue color scheme.

"We're excited about our new look for 2008," Revolution General Manager Craig Tornberg said. "The design of the uniform is reminiscent of traditional European and international kits, and we worked closely with adidas to make sure the new uniform was a nice, modern change for our players and supporters.

"It's tremendous to be able to offer our fans the new kit before it goes on sale nationwide in early March. Our supporters are some of the most passionate in the league, and we know they're anxious for the 2008 season to get underway. Having the new jersey is a step in that direction." Tornberg continued.

The replica jerseys will retail for $69.95, with youth sizes available at $49.95.

The team's website - revolutionsoccer.net - and the Gillette Stadium ProShop are the exclusive retailers of the 2008 Revolution kit until March 1, 2008, when it goes on sale at national outlets. The ProShop, located on Rt. 1 in Foxborough, Mass., on the grounds of Gillette Stadium, is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

The Revolution opens the 2008 season on Saturday, March 29, when the team hosts the Houston Dynamo at Gillette Stadium in a rematch of MLS Cup 2007. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and tickets to the season opener - the first ever MLS First Kick event in Foxborough - are available through 2008 season ticket packages or special First Kick four-game packs.
