Colorado Crush News Release

Fort Collins, CO-The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team will face the Nebraska Danger this Saturday, May 5 th, 2012. The Ice (5-3) will defend their undefeated home portion of the season while the Danger attempt to pull in a win to add to their lackluster 3-5 record.

In the Ice's previous game they shut down the Wyoming Cavalry for the third time this season, allowing them to remain undefeated at home and in their 4 game series against the Cavalry.

Against the Cavalry QB David Knighton (#5) threw for 3 touchdowns and carried for 1. Alongside him were teammates RB Tobias Robinson (#22) who carried for 2 touchdowns and WR Jessie Poku (#85) who received a bomb from Knighton (#5) to add to the Ice's lead. In the final throes of the game DB Kyle Theret (#17) made an impressive interception for touchdown to ensure a win for the Ice.

The Ice, currently ranked second in the Intense Conference are averaging 50 points per game. Look for rookie kicker, Aric Goodman (#9) to go perfect on PATs to advance the Ice's score.

The Ice's momentum is rising as playoffs near, which is sure to aid them in a victory over the Danger. This will be the first time the teams have faced off since the 2011 season when the Ice beat the Danger 47-39.

The Danger are coming off a win after losing 4 out of their last 6 games. The Dangers offense surpassed the Everett Raptors but not by much. With a score of 68-59, the Raptors were well on their way to a win with the Danger barely clinging onto their lead. In the final moments of the game the Danger were able to manage two interceptions which lead them to a victory.

Tickets for this game are still available and can be purchased by contacting the Colorado Ice office at (970) 472-0128. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m.
