November 6, 2013 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) News Release
(TORONTO, ON): Four former NBL Canada players were selected in this year's NBA Development league draft, and another had his rights protected by a D-League club.

In the 6th round, Lester Prosper went to the Maine Red Claws, while Chad Gillaspy was selected by the Tulsa 66ers. Former Summerside Storm and Halifax Rainmen point guard, Josiah Turner, has been protected by the LA Defenders of the NBA D-League, for the upcoming season.
"Its just another example why players in our league don't take nights off. They are always playing hard to represent their teams and their city. But equally as important, they are always auditioning for a shot at the next level and these young men have now earned that shot and we wish them well," said NBL Canada Commissioner Paul Riley.
