(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats home opener is this Sunday at 4:00PM AST at Harbour Station versus the Island Storm.
Single game, flex, and season tickets are all on sale now! Tickets may be purchase by visiting the Harbour Station Box Office or calling 506-657-1234, by going online to www.millratsbasketball.ca, or by visiting the Mill Rats Fan Zone in Brunswick Square.
The Mill Rats are currently 1-1 and sit in second place in the competitive Atlantic Division. The Island Storm beat the Mill Rats, 100-93, in their home opener last Saturday in Charlottetown. Saint John will surely be looking to upend the Storm this Sunday and send a message that this division is up for grabs!
The Mill Rats have been led in scoring through two games by Anthony Anderson with 19.5 points per game, Alex Jackson 12.5, Tyrone Levett 12.5, Doug Herring Jr 12.0, and Chris Matthews 10.0. Modibo Diarra has led Saint John in rebounding so far at 9.5 per game. Antonio Ballard is averaging 23.0 points and 11.0 rebounds per game this season.
The Mill Rats will be unveiling their newly designed home uniforms this Sunday!
The game will also feature some homegrown talent in the entertainment aspect. The game will feature the Mill Rats mascot Foreman George, and action from the Millies and Mini-Millies dance teams.
Apryll Aileen, a unique singer/song writer, will be performing her first single "Hey Sugar" (featured on 97.3 the Wave) during halftime. Joining her will be the Producer & DJ on the track, "The Metro-Gnome" from Nova Scotia.
