AUSTIN TIPOFF TODAY: Announcements regarding a name the team contest, playing venue, ticket information and staffing for the new NBDL team in Austin, Texas are expected today at a news conference at the Austin Convention Center at 11 a.m. CT. Similar events will be held in Tulsa, Okla. and Albuquerque, N.M. next week.

NBDL ALUMNI CHECK...from Tuesday's games
· 8 former NBDL players and 5 former D-League officials worked 8 NBA games.
· Anthony Johnson (Mobile) had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists for the Pacers.
· Damone Brown (Huntsville) had a team-high 6 assists for the Wizards.

NBDL QUIZ: Roanoke's James Thomas leads the league in free throw attempts with 234. Who leads the league in free throws made?

JOE, RON, SETH AND KIRK: Asheville's Joe Forte and Ron Slay each scored 30 points Tuesday, while teammate Kirk Penney popped for 28 on an 11-of-14 shooting night from the floor. Great nights all, only to be upstaged by Roanoke's Seth Doliboa's 31 points. Slay and Forte had 14 and 10 boards, respectively, in the Altitude's double overtime win.

SHERMAN, SHERMAN, SHERMAN! Roanoke's Sherman Gay also notched a double-double by scoring 28 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

POKEY'S PLAYHOUSE: With Roanoke's James Thomas battling illness Tuesday, Huntsville's Rodney "Pokey" Bias closed the rebounding leader's gap with 22 rebounds at Florida. Bias now averages 12.8 and Thomas 13.1 per game.

STRANGE LINE: Florida guard Marcus Moore's line on Tuesday read no points and 10 assists.

GOW: This week's edition of the NBDL Game of the Week show airs Thursday at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV and focuses on the Asheville-Huntsville game from March 12. Featured players include Lenny Stokes and Kirk Penney from the Altitude, as well as Austin Nichols and Earl Barron from the Flight.

TWIN TIME: This Week in the NBDL will air an hour earlier (8 p.m. ET) Thursday on NBA TV. This week's guests include NBDL President Phil Evans and David Kahn, owner and operator of Southwest Basketball, LLC.
