NBA D-League Teams to Wear St. Patrick's Day Shooting Shirts

GREENVILLE, S.C., March 13, 2007 - The St. Patrick's Day celebration begins today in the NBA Development League when the Fort Worth Flyers take the floor against the Tulsa 66ers in specially designed St. Patrick's Day shooting shirts and continues through Sunday with four more teams sporting the holiday-themed warm-up shirts designed by adidas.

The party continues on Friday, March 16, when Bakersfield Jam (vs. the Fort Worth Flyers) players will autograph the shirts and then raffle them to Jam fans with a portion of the proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

On Saturday, March 17 the Idaho Stampede (vs. the Anaheim Arsenal) will wear the shirts, while the Arkansas RimRockers (vs. the Colorado 14ers) will wear the holiday shooting shirt to coincide with assistant coach and former Arkansas Razorback star Pat Bradley Bobblehead Night.

The Sioux Falls Skyforce (vs. the Austin Toros) will round out the celebration by warming up in the shirts on Sunday, March 18.

This is the first year the D-League has participated in the St. Patrick's Day program which in its second successful year with the NBA. The program is part of the league's ongoing celebration of specific holidays and special occasions throughout the season with specially designed uniforms and themed merchandise. Earlier this season, the D-League also wore special Valentines Day shooting shirts in conjunction with the NBA's Valentine's Day uniforms worn by the New Orleans/OK City Hornets in February.
