TODAY ON NBA TV: The D-League "Game of the Week", featuring the Florida Flame at the Austin Toros, airs at 2 p.m. ET. Fort Worth Flyers coach Sam Vincent is scheduled to be a guest on "NBA TV Insiders" at 6:30 p.m. ET.
ALL-STAR CAST COMING TO ALLTEL: Late December games are bringing out stars in other sports to Arkansas RimRockers games at Alltel Arena. On December 22, boxing's undisputed middle weight champion Jermain Taylor will be available for autographs and photos from 6:30-8:30 p.m. as the RimRockers host the Tulsa 66ers. On December 30, NASCAR legend Mark Martin, the fourth-place finisher in this year's championship series, will be signing autographs and posing for photos from 6:30-8:30 p.m. when Arkansas takes on Fort Worth.
MORE GOOD THAN HARM: Yuta Tabuse of Albuquerque and Carlos Hurt of Fayetteville are the league leaders in assist-to-turnover ratio. Tabuse is tops at 3.56 (23 AST, 9 TO), followed by Hurt's 3.10 (31 AST, 10 TO).
A LITTLE TOO FAMILIAR? If familiarity does indeed breed contempt, then it's a good bet the Florida Flame won't be on the Fayetteville Patriots Christmas gift list. The Patriots have five games left in 2005. All are against the Flame, two in Fort Myers and three in Fayetteville. For a scenery change, Florida sprinkles in a couple of games at Roanoke.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Playing in the D-league taught me that I never want to be in that situation again. But playing there helped me as a player in terms of my confidence. I learned again what I'm capable of doing."...Los Angeles Lakers and former Florida Flame guard Smush Parker told the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
QUOTE OF THE DAY II: "Jerry West once told me, âCoaching will take you through many doors.' So here I am, going through a door in the same place that started things for me in college. It's good to be back. Hopefully, this will be a door to my NBA coaching career." Albuquerque Thunderbirds coach Michael Cooper in a recent Associated Press story.
