2010 NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE PLAYOFFS TIP OFF WEDNESDAY APRIL 7 IN UTAH

The Eastern Conference Champion Iowa Energy, the top seed in the upcoming 2010 NBA D-League playoffs, selected the seventh seeded Utah Flash as their opponent in the first round of the 2010 NBA Development League playoffs, it was announced following a teleconference held with the League's eight playoff-bound teams. The teams will tip off the 2010 NBA D-League playoffs on Wednesday, April 7, when the Flash host the Energy at 9:00 p.m. ET at the McKay Event Center in the first game of the best-of-three series which will conclude at Iowa for games two and three, if necessary. For the second consecutive year, the top three seeds in the NBA D-League playoffs (the two conference champions, along with the wild card team with the best regular season record) had the opportunity to select their first round opponent among the four lowest seeded playoff teams.

NBA D-LEAGUE EXCEEDS ONE MILLION FANS IN ATTENDANCE AT GAMES FOR FIRST TIME AS IT CLOSES OUT SUCCESSFUL 2009-10 SEASON

The NBA Development League (NBA D-League) finished the 2009-10 regular season by exceeding one million in total fan attendance for the first time in league history (1,043,261). Attendance was up more than 6.57% for the season and the Maine Red Claws played to 100% capacity during their inaugural season. The league also saw an all-time record 34 GATORADE Call-Ups. There are 80 players on NBA rosters with NBA D-League experience. In addition, the league signed a national broadcast deal with VERSUS and a multiyear agreement with AOL FanHouse for a dedicated NBA D-League section and game streaming.

TOROS ACQUIRE CORY UNDERWOOD AND EMMANUAL JONES

The Austin Toros announced they have acquired forwards Cory Underwood and Emmanuel Jones. Underwood, 6-10, 235 pounds, appeared in 42 games this season with four different teams in the NBA D-League. Most recently he played for the Dakota Wizards, where he averaged 8.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 19.3 minutes. Jones, 6-6, 200 pounds, appeared in 26 games for the Idaho Stampede this season. During that time he averaged 5.5 points and 3.5 rebounds during 16.2 minutes. The two will replace Dwayne Jones, who received a GATORADE Call-up Monday by the Phoenix Suns, and Eric Dawson, who was waived due to an injury.

31 players with NBA D-League experience competed in nine NBA games last night, 12 as starters.

C.J. Miles started and scored 16 points for the Jazz in a win over Oklahoma City.

Ersan Ilyasova came off the bench to score 17 points as the Bucks clinched a playoff berth with a win over Chicago.
