SATURDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Saturday's games
Courtney Sims led Iowa with 30 points, while Othyus Jeffers and Demetris Nichols contributed 26 points apiece. Curtis Stinson (13 points, 7 assists) and Brian Evans (11 points) rounded out the five Energy starters who scored in double digits.
Leading the Wizards offense was Blake Ahearn scoring 25 points, with Will Fribsy and Maurice Baker both adding 17 points a piece. David Bell scored 14 points coming off the bench as Richard Hendrix and Hamed Haddadi both contributed 12 points.
David Bailey led all scorers with 31 points and also dished out seven assists. Frank Williams netted 25 points and seven assists of his own. Bobby Jones recorded his 10th double-double on the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Leading the 14ers was Trey Gilder with 19 points and Billy Thomas with 18. Dominique Coleman added a double-double of his own by scoring 14 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
Austin was led by Marcus Williams' game-high 30 points, while Eric Dawson added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Dwayne Jones scored nine points and snagged 17 rebounds.
Keith Clark finished with his fifth double-double of the season, as he scored 26 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Tulsa. In addition to Clark, Gary Forbes added 16 points and six rebounds, while Jeremy Kelly finished with 14 points.
Thunderbirds' forward David Noel led both teams in scoring with a game-high of 27 points. Jasper Johnson added 26 points and grabbed 11 boards.
Cedric Bozeman led the Arsenal with 22 points. Marcus Campbell finished with 15 points and grabbed a game-high 23 rebounds. Kedrick Brown added 18 points.
Luke Jackson notched 24 points, and five players reached double-figures in scoring as the Idaho Stampede defeated Utah 104-96. Toronto Raptors assignee Nathan Jawai dropped in 12 points in the win, while Brent Petway added 14 points. Kevin Burelson chipped in 19 points, and Mildon Ambres added 16 points off the Stampede bench.
Dontell Jefferson notched a game-high 29 points for the Flash, while Carlos Wheeler added 14 points and eight rebounds off the Flash bench. Ronald Dupree recorded 17 of his 19 points in the second half and grabbed eight rebounds in the Flash
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
16 players with D-League experience competed in six NBA games last night, five as starters.
As a starter for Miami, Jamario Moon notched a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Milwaukee's Ramon Sessions also recorded a double-double, with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Mike Taylor tallied 13 points and 26 minutes of action for the Clippers. Steve Novak and Alex Acker added five points each.
Starting for Orlando, Rafer Alston scored 11 points and dished five assists.
Houston's Von Wafer contributed 11 points. Starter Aaron Brooks added eight points and seven assists.
